遇到喜歡自己、但自己並不喜歡的對象時，我們該怎麼拒絕呢？似乎找任何藉口都很虛假，這時倒不如直截了當地告訴對方：「You’re not my cup of tea.」告訴對方「你不是我喜歡的類型」。另一個常見的用法還有You’re not my type.，同樣都是「不是我的菜」之意。

Hi! My name is Teacher Ninja and my star sign is Cancer. I graduated with a degree in Mass Communications majoring in Broadcast Communication from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. I am also a pioneer member of our college’s theatre organization as well as our church’s acting club. Hi! I am Teacher Lovely and my star sign is Libra. Naturally, I am an outgoing and sociable person which are prominent traits possessed by Librans. 看到吃飽閒閒不工作、打定主意讓父母養的「米蟲」，便可以說：Quit sponging off your family。(點我說給你聽)
這裡的sponge原本是名詞「海綿」，變成動詞片語sponge off 就是「過寄生生活」之意。此外還可以說：Stop living off your family.Stop mooching off your family.（mooch是乞討、揩油。）Don’t bum off your family.（bum是乞討之意。） 

A：Mom, help me do the laundry... then get lunch and snacks for me... !(點我說給你聽)
B：You’ve got to go out and get a job! Stop sponging off your family! !(點我說給你聽)
A：媽，幫我洗一下這些衣服，然後幫我買午餐和點心…。 
B：你該出去找份工作啦！不要一直在家當米蟲！

  McDonald’s chief executive Jim Skinner has stood by the fast-food chain’s trademark clown Ronald McDonald. On Wednesday, a group of 550 healthcare workers wrote to McDonald’s asking it to stop marketing to children using methods such as toys and the clown. (點我說給你聽)
麥當勞執行長史金納對這家速食連鎖店的招牌小丑麥當勞叔叔表示了支持。一個550人組成的健康照顧工作者組織，週三寫信給麥當勞，要求他們停止使用玩具與麥當勞叔叔等方式對孩童行銷。
"Ronald McDonald is going nowhere," Mr Skinner told Thursday’s shareholders’ meeting. Shareholders rejected a proposal for the company to issue a report outlining its role in childhood obesity.(點我說給你聽)
史金納在週四的股東會上表示：「麥當勞叔叔哪兒都不會去。」麥當勞的股東拒絕了一項要求該公司提出報告，概述麥當勞叔叔對孩童過胖所扮演的角色的提案。
The proposal, put forward by a group of nuns, asked for a report within six months, "assessing the company’s policy responses to public concerns regarding linkages of fast food to childhood obesity, diet-related diseases and other impacts on children’s health".(點我說給你聽)
一群修女組織提出的這份提案，要求麥當勞在6個月內提出報告，「針對公眾對於速食與孩童過胖、飲食相關疾病等影響孩童健康的關聯表達關切，評估該公司的政策回應」。
The board of directors opposed the motion, saying it offered a variety of food to its customers, provided nutrition information about the food, and communicated with children "in a responsible manner through age appropriate marketing and promotional activities".Mr Skinner said： "This is about choice and we believe in the democratic process."(點我說給你聽)
董事會反對這項動議，表示麥當勞提供各式食物給消費者，提供食物的營養資訊，也「透過適合其年齡的行銷及促銷活動，以負責任的態度」與孩童溝通。史金納說：「這是選擇問題，而我們相信民主的過程。」
